About Fran
Life before facepainting was varied. I was an Image Consultant for six years, which taught me the importance of colour and how a single colour can be so effective for one person and not for another.
I have been involved in the theatre for most of
my life, initially in acting, then costume design and then moved on to theatrical make-up.
I was introduced to face-painting in the middle-east while on a visit to my sister in law. It then just became part of my life. I joined FACE, the only accredited facepainting association in the UK, and won the new-comer of the year award.
I was the resident face painter at Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire for 15 years and I continue to facepaint for them as needed.
I have attended training courses with Lyne Jamieson and also courses at the London School of Face Painting run by Bibi Freeman in London one of the instructors was Raphaelle Fieldhouse from Body Canvas and have recently attended an advanced course run by the international face and body artist Mark Reid.
